KUCHING (Jan 3): The vehicle inspection booking processing fee will be revised to RM5, effective Sunday (Jan 4), Puspakom Sdn Bhd announced.
In a statement on Friday, Puspakom said the fee adjustment is part of preparations to launch a new vehicle inspection booking system.
Prior to this revision, the processing fee was RM3.50.
Puspakom said the existing fee had not been reviewed since the introduction of online inspection bookings in 2017.
“The adjustment is intended to support a booking system that is more stable, transparent and customer-focused, in line with current automotive industry needs and user expectations,” it explained.
According to Puspakom, the new vehicle inspection booking system, which is more stable, accurate and customer-friendly, is now in the final phase of implementation.
The new system includes automatic integration with the Road Transport Department’s (JKR) mySIKAP portal, as well as a more structured and transparent refund process, said the company.
Puspakom said the system will feature updated branding, interface and functionality aimed at improving customer experience and booking efficiency.
The name and full details of the new booking system will be announced next Monday (Jan 5).
