The convoy made its first stop at Dataran Tandang Sari, Pusa, where Abang Johari spent time engaging with community leaders, local representatives and residents in a relaxed setting while enjoying light refreshments.

The interaction provided an opportunity to strengthen ties between the State leadership and the local community before the convoy continued its journey towards Sarikei.

Upon arrival at Masjid Al-Mutaqqin in Sarikei, Premier and his delegation performed Zohor and Asar prayers consecutively before meeting and engaging with members of the community who had gathered there.

Beyond being a motorcycle ride, the convoy symbolised the Sarawak government’s people-centric leadership approach, providing Abang Johari with an opportunity to observe development on the ground, connect directly with communities and listen to their aspirations at each stop.

The journey concluded with the arrival of the delegation at RH Hotel, Sibu, in the afternoon, marking the end of a route that not only linked Batang Lupar and Sibu but also further strengthened the close bond between the State leadership and the people of Sarawak. — DayakDaily
