JULALAU, 2 Oct: The Sarawak Government has allocated RM100,000 through the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) for the construction of new fence at Julin Gani House, Kerangan Assam, Entabai, here.
Member of the National Assembly (ADUN) Meluan, Dato Rolland Duat Jubin said that the project took about four months to complete and was aimed at improving the level of safety and comfort of long-term residents.
According to him, the implementation of the project demonstrates the ongoing commitment of the Government of Sarawak in providing better basic facilities to rural communities, especially long-haul residents in DUN Meluan area.
"The construction of this new fence not only creates and encapsulates the area around long houses, but also adds security and protection to residents.
"The provision of such facilities is essential to ensure a more organized, safe and comfortable long-term home environment, in line with current needs and development", he said when reviewing the completed project, today.
He said the development of basic infrastructure including fence construction also contributes to improving community well-being and directly benefits local people.
"I will continue to pay attention to the development of long house infrastructure to ensure that people in DUN Meluan enjoy good facilities", he said. -TVS
