KUCHING, July 9: A total of 52,810 newly enrolled Form Six students at 616 Form Six Centres (PTEs) nationwide will receive schooling aid amounting to RM150 per student this year as the Ministry of Education (MOE) continues the distribution of the Early Schooling Aid (BAP) initiative.

In a statement today, MOE said the assistance is being extended to students who registered for Form Six on 8 June 2026, following the government’s approval in 2025 to expand BAP eligibility to include Form Six students.

“The distribution of BAP for newly enrolled Form Six students will be carried out by the respective PTEs from June 28 until July 27 July.

“In total, 96,013 Form Six students, including both newly enrolled and existing students, have received or will receive BAP in 2026, involving a total allocation of RM14.4 million,” the ministry added.

MOE highlighted that the expansion of BAP assistance to Form Six students, introduced last year, reflects the Madani government’s efforts to ease the financial burden on parents and guardians in preparing school-related necessities.

The initiative also underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening Form Six education and ensuring students continue to receive support throughout their academic journey. — DayakDaily
