SIMUNJAN: A sum of RM3mil has been approved to build lanes for villages in Zone 3 of Sungai Apin under the Simunjan constituency.
Simunjan assemblyman Awla Dris said the allocation was under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) 2022 special project allocation which he applied for and approved by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
“The purpose of the work visit to the proposed RTP special project sites today is to carry out technical inspections, evaluations and meetings with community leaders in the relevant villages so that the project is implemented according to the needs of the villagers,” he said during his site visit today.
Following this, Awla also thanked the Sarawak government for approving the allocation as it shows how concerned the state government is about infrastructure facilities for residents in rural areas.
“I hope that this project can be implemented soon to provide comfort and convenience to the villagers in the area,” he said.
During the visit, Awla also had the opportunity to visit SK Tanjung Pisang/Selangking which is almost completed.
