ADVERTISE HERE
KUCHING: In anticipation of the highly-anticipated Borneo Sarxindo Concert scheduled for December 29 and 30 December at the Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV) at 6.00 pm, the authorities have announced a temporary road closure plan to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic in the vicinity of the village here.
Kuching deputy police chief Supt Merbin Lisa said the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division of the Kuching District Police Headquarters would be implementing roadblocks and safety screening at “Checkpoint 1,” located at the intersection of Damai Golf and Country Club.
“The road closure will commence at 12.00 pm on both days and will remain in effect until the conclusion of the concert.
“Concertgoers are advised to utilise the bus service provided by the event organiser, starting from 11.00 am, with buses departing from Pullman Hotel to Kampung Budaya.
“Only vehicles with valid passes will be permitted entry into the concert venue. Those without passes are requested to park their vehicles in designated areas as directed by on-duty police officers,” he said.
The public is reminded not to double park and to follow instructions from on-duty police officers for a seamless traffic experience during the event.
