KOTA KINABALU (Feb 13): Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor welcomed Japanese investors to the state, highlighting opportunities in the Blue Economy sector.
Speaking during a meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Malaysia Shikata Noriyuki at Sri Gaya here, Hajiji said the Blue Economy offers numerous investment prospects.
He added that the state government’s investor‑friendly policies also provide opportunities across a variety of economic sectors.
Shikata is in Sabah for a three-day official visit, during which he will visit Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and promote Green×Expo 2027, to be held in Yokohama, Japan.
The ambassador was accompanied by Yamashita Yoshito, Head of the Consular Office of Japan in Kota Kinabalu, and other Japanese envoys to Malaysia.
