BINTULU (Sept 22): The search and rescue (SAR) operation for six-year-old Cicilia Julan Intik, who was attacked by a crocodile in Tatau River on Wednesday, continued for the fifth day today.
The young girl was dragged by a crocodile towards the middle of the Tatau River while bathing with her grandfather and two others.
Tatau fire station chief Jankey Jikat, who is leading the operation, said the search has extended from the point where the victim was last seen to downstream of the Tatau River, covering a radius of about seven kilometres.
The SAR team, comprised six Bomba personnel, three policemen, three Civil Defence Force personnel, and five members from the Sarawak Forestry Corporation Bintulu.
