LUBOK ANTU, Nov 13: Sarawak Energy Berhad (Sarawak Energy) is set to conduct essential routine testing of its flood warning stations in Lubok Antu on Wednesday (Nov 15).
According to a media release issued today, the initiative is part of Sarawak Energy’s commitment to maintaining excellent levels of safety and preparedness while aligning its emergency response programme with international standards.
The Lubok Antu flood warning station’s testing is scheduled to run from 10am, with the alarm activated for one to two minutes each time. The testing will conclude at 5pm.
Communities near Lubok Antu are advised that warning tones can be heard up to 3km from the respective stations.
The number of alarm activations and timing are not fixed and depend on the work or testing progress.
Sarawak Energy reassures the public that this is a routine testing exercise aimed at enhancing the safety and preparedness levels of its operations within the communities it operates.
