KUCHING: The Liga Jemputan Akademi U12 (LJAU12) is gearing up for its grand finale, heralding a historic milestone as Sarawak’s first-ever league tailored exclusively for children aged 12 and under.
Scheduled to commence on Feb 4 at Cascara Arena, LJAU12 is shattering norms by orchestrating a unique twist to its grand finale, transitioning the event to the night-time ambiance.
As the youthful talents grace the field illuminated by dazzling floodlights, Cascara Arena, Sarawak’s pioneering international-grade Fifa-standard synthetic turf pitch, will serve as the backdrop for an electrifying spectacle.
With the countdown to the final showdown underway, this scheduling innovation not only injects a fresh dimension but also aims to ignite the passion and skill development of budding footballers.
“The kids will be playing at night-time, slightly different than the usual hours. It will be a new environment and thrilling experience that fills them with excitement and enthusiasm, hoping it will inspire them to hone their skills with the well-equipped facilities available at Kuching’s first international-grade, Fifa-standard synthetic turf pitch, Cascara Arena,” said Cascara Junior FC in a Facebook post.
The LJAU12 league occupies a distinctive niche as Sarawak’s inaugural venture of its kind, exclusively tailored to children aged 12 and under.
The event attempts to furnish these young aspirants with early exposure to competitive football, nurturing their ardour for the sport.
