KAPIT, June 26: The Kapit Division edition of the Sarawakku Sayang Program (SKS) 2026 stood out for its distinct character, marked by encouraging participation from young entrepreneurs who showcased a wide range of products driven by their own ideas and creativity.

In a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) news, Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki said the involvement of youth in the programme reflects their growing interest and expanding potential in entrepreneurship.

“What makes Kapit unique compared to other divisions is the strong presence of young entrepreneurs who have come forward with their own business ideas.

“We congratulate them on their success in presenting products across various business sectors,” he said this to the media after officiating the SKS 2026 Kapit Division Pre-Launch Ceremony at Kapit civic centre today.

Meanwhile, he expressed confidence that the SKS 2026 Kapit programme would draw more than 10,000 visitors over its three-day run.

“With activities such as exhibitions, Konsert Rakyat, Kapit Kitchen, lucky draws, and sales booths, we expect more than 10,000 members of the public to attend and enliven the programme,” he said.

He added that the official opening ceremony, to be officiated by the Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg tomorrow (June 27), is expected to attract between 3,000 and 5,000 attendees.

The SKS 2026 Kapit Division programme will be held from June 26 to 28, featuring government agency exhibitions, local entrepreneur showcases, Kapit Kitchen, Konsert Rakyat, lucky draws, and various community-focused activities. — DayakDaily
