Sri Aman police seize 11 motorcycles in Op Samseng Jalanan

KUCHING (July 6): The Sri Aman police seized 11 motorcycles during an ‘Op Samseng Jalanan’ operations conducted around the town area and along Jalan Sri Aman-Sarikei-Kuching road.

Sri Aman district police chief DSP Mathew Manggie said the operation began at 10pm last night and concluded at 3am Saturday.

“A total of 37 summonses for various traffic offences were also issued,” he said in a statement.

Mathew said the seizure of motorcycles was made under Section 60 of the Road Transport Act 1987.

He added the summonses were issued for offences such as modified exhaust, modified structure of the motorcycle, no side mirrors, expired road tax, no license and failure to display the ‘P’ probation sticker.
