State government establishes strategic partnership with Korea

KUCHING: The Sarawak government is taking a significant step in furthering innovation and sustainability for new start-ups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by engaging with renowned Korean tech agency.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, has taken the initiatives to lead a delegation to Pangyo Techno Valley in Seoul, Korea to establish a strategic collaboration with the Gyeonggido Business and Science Accelerator (GBSA).

The partnership aims to develop a sustainable, innovative model that will empower the entrepreneurial landscape in the state.

Pangyo Techno Valley, often referred to as the Silicon Valley of South Korea, is a thriving hub for technology and innovation, housing over 1,600 top-tier companies.

The technology valley is managed by GBSA, an agency established by the Gyeonggi Province Government in 1997 to bolster the competitiveness of SMEs and enhance research and technology in science and industry.
