KUCHING: The Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) has introduced a new ethics complaint service, aimed at tackling misconduct within the agency.

The service was officially launched by general manager Zainal Abidin Abdullah on July 29 at Wisma Sumber Alam in Petra Jaya, here.

“The ethics complaint service is designed to handle complaints about disciplinary and criminal offences among STIDC members.

“It is a crucial part of STIDC’s Integrity Section, which adheres to the Sarawak State Integrity Circular No. 2 of 2019, providing guidelines for managing integrity units in public agencies,” STIDC said in a press release issued today.

Moreover, this service is an essential tool in STIDC’s fight against corruption, aligning with the MS ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) and the agency’s Whistleblower Policy.

Through transparent, systematic, and efficient processes, the corporation underscores its commitment to a strict no-compromise stance on corruption and abuse of power.

Members of the public and STIDC can submit their complaints through the agency’s website at www.sarawak.timber.gov.my.
