KUCHING (Aug 20): The Sarawak relay swim team delivered a strong performance to secure a bronze medal in the fiercely contested 4x100m mixed medley relay at the Malaysia Games (Sukma) XXI swimming events today.

The team, comprising Jeff Chua Yu Yang , Hii Puong Wei, Magdalene Lau Ing Siew, and Kelly Teo Yao, clocked an impressive 4:09.15 to claim their spot on the podium.

Selangor’s powerhouse team, featuring Teoh Kar Chuan, Andrew Goh Zheng Yen, Lim Shun Qi, and Khew Zi Xian, clinched the gold with a remarkable time of 4:00.30.

Federal Territories followed closely behind, with their team of Chong Xin Lin, Yu Xiang Cham, Bryan Leong Xin Ren, and Wei Wen Lee securing silver at 4:02.20.

Jeff, Puong Wei, Magdalene, and Kelly delivered a synchronized effort, each contributing crucially in their respective strokes to propel the team to the podium.

With more races on the horizon, Sarawak’s swimmers are determined to keep the momentum going and bring home more medals for their state.
