SUPP Bawang Assan team extends financial aid to disabled siblings

SIBU (Nov 1): Two disabled siblings recently received financial aid from the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Bawang Assan Community Development team recently to help ease their family’s burden.

According to the team leader Councillor Kevin Lau, the brothers from Jalan Diong Kik are being cared for by their grandmother and an aunt.

“We hope that the financial aid will reduce the burden shouldered by the family, and ease their grandmother’s and aunt’s worries,” he said in a statement.

Accompanying Lau during the visit were Welfare Department personnel.

Adding on, Lau said the siblings, despite their disability, were earning some money by performing light jobs.

The councillor also thanked the Sibu Welfare Office for working with his team in this matter.
