KUCHING (Oct 21): Swim Art Aquatic (SAA) is ready to make its mark as excitement builds up for the 4th Sarawak Short Course Sprint (SSCS).

With 114 swimmers competing under their banner, Team SAA is eager to display their prowess in the major event to be held at the Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre from Oct 25 to 27.

Over 550 swimmers representing 26 teams from the Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei and Malaysia will take part in the meet which is unique in only featuring shorter distances in the sport. SAA head coach Gary Lau has spoken on the challenge ahead of his charges.

“Our swimmers have worked incredibly hard and this competition is their chance to prove how far they’ve come. At Swim Art, we don’t just focus on performance but also on developing character and discipline,” he said.

“This is just the beginning for us. We have big plans ahead and I believe our swimmers will rise to the occasion in upcoming competitions,” he added.

SAA is thankful to sponsors for the vital support in making their journey possible.

The SSCS, which is organised by Power Aquatics Swimming Club (PASC) with the support of Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC), provides a platform for young swimmers to measure their progress and demonstrate their ability over sprint events in the pool.
