The road to the Islamic Cemetery of Nyabor Village upgraded

KABONG, 22 Sept: The road to Kampung Nyabor Islamic Cemetery will be upgraded through the rural transformation project (RTP) fund of Kabong 2026 Members of State Legislative Assembly (ADUN) with RM200,000 allocation.

ADUN Kabong, Dato Mohd Chee Kadir today attended the RTP Project Landing Ceremony at Kampung Nyabor Islamic Cemetery Ground.

Work on the project began on 14 September 2026 and is scheduled to be completed by 9 January 2027.

According to Mohd Chee, the upgrading of the road was aimed at providing a better and more comfortable route to the cemetery grounds, thereby facilitating residents in management affairs as well as visiting the quarry.

He also paid tribute to the Government of Sarawak under the Joint Sarawak Party (GPS) for approving allocations for the project.

"The approval of this project reflects the government's ongoing efforts to provide and upgrade basic amenities needed by the community, including access to cemetery land.

"The project is expected to benefit the people of Kampung Nyabor and surrounding areas by providing a better route for community use", he said.

He hopes that the work carried out by the contractor is going smoothly, adhering to the specified specifications and completed within the stipulated period.
