The Sarawak Malay Wisma Management Meeting was held for the first time

KUCHING, Sept. 21: The Sarawak Malay Wisma Management Meeting was held for the first time here today to discuss the coordination of management, operations and development of the premises.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Sarawak who is also Chairman of the Trust Khairat of the Malay Culture Foundation of Sarawak (AKYBMS), Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.

"Discussions focused on coordination of management, operation, development and readiness aspects of Wisma Melayu Sarawak to ensure that the management of the premises is carried out in an orderly, professional and effective manner.

"The effort is also in line with the role and function of Sarawak Malay Wisma that has been planned", according to a statement from Sarawak's Deputy Premier's Office.

In attendance, the Deputy Chairman of AKYBMS was accompanied by the Chairman of the Economic and Investment Committee, Dato Sri Mohd Naroden Majais; Secretary was accompanied by the Chairman of the Legislative Committee, Datu Abdul Razak Tready; Bendahari, Kushairi Johan as well as the Chairman of the Political Committee, Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali.

The Chairman of the Committee on Culture and the Arts, Dr Abdul Wahab Aziz and the Chairman of the Religious Committee, Dr Wahbi Junaidi were present.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of PU Architect, BL Consultant Team and AKYBMS staff. -TVS
