Three injured in single-vehicle accident at Jalan Pesisir Bintulu-Samalaju

SAMALAJU (July 15): Three individuals sustained minor injuries when the sports utility vehicle (SUV) they were traveling in was involved in a single-vehicle accident at Jalan Pesisir Bintulu-Samalaju this morning.

Samalaju fire station chief Hashim Norshidi said a team of firefighters from the station was rushed to the scene after being notified about the accident at around 8.30am.

“Upon arrival, the firefighters found that all the victims, aged 30, 41 and 52, had been safely extricated from the vehicle by members of the public,” he added.

The victims were subsequently transported to the hospital for further treatment.

After ensuring that the situation was safe, the firefighters ended the operation at around 9am.
