Tourism M’sia launches Fly Borneo Specials Vol. 2 to promote interstate travel

The B2B session during the launch of Tourism Malaysia’s latest package, ‘Fly Borneo Specials Vol. 2 – More Adventure Awaits You!’.

KUCHING (July 24): Tourism Malaysia, in collaboration with Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) and Bank Rakyat, on Tuesday launched its latest tourism package, ‘Fly Borneo Specials Vol. 2 – More Adventure Awaits You!’, as part of efforts in promoting interstate travel to Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan via airlines partners Firefly and MASwings.

The ‘Fly Borneo Specials Vol. 2’ brochure features an impressive collection of 113 thematic packages curated by 61 tour operators from Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan, it said in a release.

“These packages cater to a variety of interests, offering an enticing blend of stunning natural landscapes, diverse flora and fauna, adventure activities, rich cultural experiences and gastronomy.

“All packages are bundled with airfare and ground tours at incredibly affordable prices,” said Tourism Malaysia.

To make Borneo travel even more accessible, MAG is offering a 40 per cent discount on airfare through Firefly and MASwings.

Additionally, Bank Rakyat provides zero per cent interest payment scheme for package purchases using its credit card and terminal, allowing travellers to enjoy their seamless dream Borneo vacations.

The launch ceremony, which was held in George Town, Penang, was graced by Tourism Malaysia deputy chairman Dato Yeoh Soon Hin.

Also present were Penang Global Tourism chief executive officer Ooi Chok Yan, Tourism Perak chief executive officer Nurmalis Musa, MAG area manager for northern region Tan Eu Jeen, Bank Rakyat business acquiring manager Dinie Fitri Ridzwan, Sarawak Tourism Board marketing director (Domestic and Asean) Barbara Benjamin Atan, Perbadanan Labuan Culture and Arts Department director of tourism Mahathir Abdul Hamid, and Sabah Tourism Board marketing manager Zarinah Amiludin.

A dedicated Business to Business (B2B) session was also held in conjunction with the launch, bringing together 28 key tourism industry players from Borneo and the northern region.

“This platform fostered valuable networking opportunities and showcased the latest products and attractions in Borneo,” said Tourism Malaysia.
