Tribune Press, SV News join transformation pledge

KUCHING: Tribune Press Sdn Bhd and SV News Sdn Bhd were among 32 state-owned enterprises (SOEs) that received their respective transformation commitments from Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg here today (Sept 22).

Tribune Press Sdn Bhd and SV News Sdn Bhd chairman Datuk Seri Azman Ujang and chief executive officer Datuk Dr Jeniri Amir were present as the media organisations joined the second phase of the Sarawak SOEs Transformation Programme.

The defining moment of the ceremony at Hilton Hotel came when Abang Johari handed over the Pledge of Commitment and Entity-Specific Playbook to the participating SOEs.

The documents set out their participation in the Financial Self-Reliance and High Performance programme for 2027 to 2030.

Each Playbook outlines an entity-specific transformation agenda, while the pledge formally records the commitment of its top management to deliver it.

For Tribune Press and SV News, their participation places both organisations within the wider state effort to strengthen governance, organisational performance and sustainable value creation.

Also present were Deputy Premiers Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas and Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, ministers, deputy ministers and state representatives, State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, State Financial Secretary Datuk Seri Dr Wan Lizozman Wan Omar and other distinguished guests.
