KUCHING (July 26): Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi are presently on a short vacation overseas.
According to a Facebook post by Astana, they departed for Kuala Lumpur from the Hornbill Skyways Terminal here on Thursday.
This is Wan Junaidi’s first vacation since he was appointed as the Sarawak Governor on Jan 26 this year.
A prayer led by state Imam Besar Sahibul Fadilah Mustapha Kamal Ahmad Fauzi was held prior to the departure.
Later, Wan Junaidi and Fauziah bade farewell to dignitaries and officers who were present to send them off.
Among them were Utility and Telecommunication Deputy Minister Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi and wife Datin Siti Shorgayah Ahmad Zaidin, along with Kuching South mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng.
