SIBU (July 20): The upgrading works of a park at Jalan Seladah 5 here is complete, said Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government Datuk Michael Tiang.
He said the project, which costed about RM300,000, started on March 15 and completed on May 13.
“The project is under the Pelawan Rural Transformation Project (RTP) and the upgrading includes ground levelling and removal of trees. However, the two Bodhi trees remain in the park as its landmark,” he said.
Tiang, who is also Pelawang assemblyman, said the upgraded park aims to create a more comfortable and safe environment for the people.
