Uprooted tree damages parked car in Miri

MIRI (May 24): A car parked at Jalan Boulevard here was damaged this morning after a large tree fell and landed on it.

The Civil Defence Force (APM) in a statement said it dispatched a team to the location after being notified of the incident at 9.09am.

“Apart from damaging the parked car, the uprooted tree also blocked traffic. The APM team, led by Nurhaizam Ramzi, took about 30 minutes to remove the tree and clear the area of debris,” it said in a statement.

Assisting APM in the operation were personnel from Lopeng fire station and Miri City Council.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
