USD114.7bil in international reserves as at July 31

KUCHING: The international reserves of the Central Bank of Malaysia amounted to USD114.7 billion as at July 31.

In a statement, it stated that the amount was based on the assets and liabilities (USD 634,132,455,493 each) recorded as at close of business on July 31.

“The reserves position is sufficient to finance 5.5 months of imports of goods and services, and is 1.0 times of the total short-term external debt,” it said.
