Wan Junaidi, wife grace Natasha and Marvin’s wedding reception

KUCHING: Former Sarawak Tribune chief reporter Natasha Chrystal Jee and her husband, Marvin Kudang Sawing, celebrated their wedding reception here last night (Sept 26), with Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, among the guests.

The couple welcomed Wan Junaidi and Toh Puan Fauziah at the Pullman Hotel here at about 8pm, alongside their families, including Sawing Kri and Rosalind Ho, and Pullman Hotel Kuching general manager Sunardi Song.

The Head of State and his wife were then ushered into the ballroom, where family members, friends and invited guests gathered to celebrate the newlyweds.

Among those present were Natasha’s former colleagues from Sarawak Tribune and Suara Sarawak, who gave the couple a standing ovation as they made their grand entrance.

The reception opened with traditional drum beats, followed by an Ajat Ngelalu Temuai performance, a traditional dance to welcome guests.

The evening continued with speeches from the fathers and family representatives of the bride and groom, a cake-cutting ceremony, a congratulatory session and traditional cultural performances.

Natasha and Marvin also shared the story of how they first met during their college years and how their relationship grew before culminating in their marriage earlier this year.

The couple expressed their gratitude to Wan Junaidi and Fauziah, as well as their family members, friends and other guests, for joining them in celebrating the occasion.

Wan Junaidi and Toh Puan Fauziah congratulated the newlyweds and their families, and wished the couple lasting happiness, abundance and a harmonious family life filled with love.
