149 conferred Sarawak State Honours at investiture ceremony in Astana Negeri Sarawak

KUCHING, April 30: A total of 149 individuals were conferred Sarawak State Honours during an investiture ceremony held at the Astana Negeri Sarawak today.

The ceremony was graced by Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi.

According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), the conferment began with the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak Pegawai Bintang Sarawak (PBS), which was awarded to Dr Hadi Ab Jalil.

This was followed by the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (PBK), conferred on 13 recipients, while 18 individuals received the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (PPB).

Meanwhile, 10 recipients were awarded the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak Ahli Bintang Sarawak (ABS), while the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (ABK) was conferred on 25 individuals.

The Pingat Pentadbiran Awam Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (PPT) was presented to 38 recipients, while 44 individuals received the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak Bentara Bintang Sarawak (BBS).

Among those present at the ceremony were Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and his wife Datin Amar Baduyah Bujang, Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Integrity and Ombudsman) Datuk Dr Juanda Jaya and his wife Datin Shanti Achmad Ramly, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu and his wife Datin Rosemarie Wong, as well as Sarawak Mufti Department director Ahmad Sukarno Saini.
