SIMANGGANG: The Sri Aman District Council (MDSA) has implemented a total of 21 community development programmes since Sept 8 of this year.

“The programmes were carried out through allocations allocated to me as a Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) representative.

“MDSA, as the implementing agency, managed the programmes, and the additional allocation covered the costs of holding community meetings and completing the activities,” he said in a statement recently.

Discussions during the programmes covered topics such as cyber crimes, creating drug-free communities, the benefits of the Kenyalang Gold Card and the prevention of dengue disease.

“The purpose of these programmes is to foster environmental cleanliness because a clean environment guarantees health and wellbeing.

“In addition, the programmes are also a platform for government agencies to disseminate information to the community about the services offered.”

Harden also agreed to allocate a Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant for the year 2024, totalling RM5,000 to JKKK Melayu RPR Fasa 1, JKKK Melayu RPR Fasa 2 Taman Sentosa Indah, JKKK Kpg Muhibbah Zon Timur, JKKK Kpg Muhibbah Zon Barat, JKKK Kpg Muhibbah Zon Tengah, JKKK Kpg Muhibbah Zon Utara , JKKK Kpg Muhibbah Zon Selatan, and JKKK Taman Harmoni.

The Simanggang assemblyman also channelled allocations to upgrade Surau An Nur and Darul Syakirin Mosque in Kampung Muhibbah.
