SIBU (March 12): A four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle turned turtle after it crashed into two other cars on Jalan Wong King Huo here on Wednesday.
Sibu acting police chief Supt Boniface Bajai said the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division received a report on the accident at 3.49pm.
“Preliminary investigations found that two sedan cars were travelling straight towards the Bukit Lima roundabout when they were hit by a four- wheel drive vehicle,” he said in a statement.
He added that the accident is believed to have occurred after the 4WD went out of control and entered the opposite lane, colliding with two saloon cars.
“As a result of the crash, the 4WD driver sustained minor injuries to his hands and legs, while the drivers of the two cars involved were unhurt,” he said.
Boniface further added that the case is being investigated under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959 (LN 166/56).
