A man with a broken leg is trapped on a chain-linked wheel.

KUCHING, Sept. 17: A 57-year-old man was injured after his leg was slammed into the side of a wheelchair in an incident at Batu Lintang this morning.

According to the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department's (JBPM) Operations Movement Centre (PGO), Sarawak, a team from Batu Lintang Fire and Rescue Hall (BBP) received an emergency call at 8.16 am before arriving on site three minutes later.

"On arrival at the scene, the bomb squad found the victims trapped on the chain-wheel of a locomotive used at the site.

"The rescue operation was carried out with the help of a crane and another clutch to move the machine and evacuate the victims to safety", according to the statement.

Successful victims were later handed over to the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) team for further examination and treatment.

The operation was controlled at 8:32 a.m. and terminated 10 minutes later.

A total of 10 bombers were involved in operations led by PBK I Kana Tawi, with the power of an FRT engine and an EMRS-TVS
