KUCHING, Oct. 4: A 73-year-old Golden Citizen woman was injured after her car involved in an accident with another vehicle near TUDM Batu 10, today.
According to the Centre for Operational Movements (PGO) of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Sarawak, the incident at around 10:28 am caused a casualty sitting in the rear passenger seat to be injured.
A team from the Siburan Bomb and Rescue Hall (BBP) arrived on site at 10.51 am and helped to remove the victims from the vehicle before handing them over to the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM).
"The victim was then taken to Sentosa City Clinic for further treatment", according to the statement.
An adult male involved in the accident was uninjured.
The bomb squad also carried out clean-up work on the site to ensure that the area is safe for road users.
The operation led by PBK II Edi Guang involved six members along with an FRT machine and an EMRS.
The operation was fully terminated at 11:30 a.m. after conditions on the site were found to be safe.
