PAWE Balanced, Taiwanese Kinmen strengthening the cultural fabric

LIMBANG, Sept. 28: The Balance and Kuching Cultural Visits and Exchanges Program with delegates from Kinmen, Taiwan was able to strengthen ties and promote cultural sharing between the two sides.

The program was attended by 30 delegates from the Taiwanese Kinmen Choir Group and 10 members of the China Fashion Group from Kuching at the Golden Citizen Activity Center (PAWE) Limbang.

PAWE Chairman, Penghulu Ang Chiw Kiam said that the program is a platform to strengthen ties and promote cultural sharing between communities from Kinmen and Sarawak through traditional art, music and fashion performances.

"The program was held to strengthen the friendship ties and introduce culture and art among participants from Kinmen, Taiwan, Kuching and PAWE Balance's golden citizens", he told media today.

In addition to being a field of exchange of experiences, participants had the opportunity to get to know more closely the cultural diversity and traditions practiced by the communities involved.

"Initiatives like this are seen to be able to expand the network of friendship and cooperation in cultural fields, as well as promote a balanced culture internationally", he said.

Following the ceremony were a choir performance from Kinmen, Taiwan and dance performances from Kuching Hanfu Society. -TVS
