KUCHING (Dec 10): Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg arrived in Nanjing, China, today to begin a four-day official working visit.
According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) report, he touched down at 4.50pm local time, accompanied by Petros chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Hamid Bugo, and was received by Deputy Minister for Utilities Datuk Ibrahim Baki, Petros Group CEO Dato Janin Girie, and other representatives.
The visit began with an engagement session at the Xikang Guesthouse with the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government.
Following the meeting, the Premier and his delegation will witness the signing of a Framework Agreement and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Petros and China Jiangsu International Economic and Technical Cooperation Group Ltd (CJI) at CJI’s headquarters.
The agreements are aimed at developing the Kuching Low Carbon Hub, according to the Premier’s official Facebook page Sarawakku.

Activities include briefings at the SIP Exhibition Hall and One Stop Centre, meetings with the SIP Administrative Committee, and visits to key companies.
SIP serves as a model for Sarawak as the state pursues technology-driven and green-energy economic development.
