Abdul Halim appreciates the support of Sarawak people

KUCHING, Sept. 17: The success of the Malaysia Day 2026 welcoming at Borneo Kuching Convention Centre (BCCK) last night reflects the spirit of solidarity and commitment of various parties in ensuring that the national level event runs smoothly.

The Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Communications, Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah said that this achievement was also supported by close cooperation between the Federal Government, Sarawak Government and all parties involved in hosting the event.

"On behalf of the Malaysia Day 2026 Celebration Committee, I and my team thank all parties who have worked together to celebrate it", he said at a press conference after celebrating Malaysia Day 2026 in BCCK, here last night.

He said that the event's travel schedule included security aspects, as well as good weather conditions, also contributed to the overall success of the MADANI Malaysia-themed reception.

"It is necessary with the prayers of all parties, that this event can go on smoothly, especially when weather conditions also allow it, thus giving a very positive signal", he said.

Abdul Halim at the same time recorded his appreciation to all Malaysians, especially Sarawak people who attended the ceremony.
