“Regulatory approvals and airport slots are still being finalised, and the exact flight schedules to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore will be announced once confirmed.

“The launch is part of AirBorneo’s Phase 2 expansion, which aims to increase connectivity while continuing to maintain rural services across Sarawak,” he said during an exclusive iftar gathering with the media held at a hotel here today.

By the end of 2026, AirBorneo aims to operate three domestic and three regional international routes as part of its gradual network growth.

Preparations include securing regulatory approvals, finalising operational procedures, and ensuring passenger services, branding, and marketing are ready ahead of the launch. — DayakDaily
