KUCHING (Nov 28): Everything is going according to plan for Kuching Comic Con (KCC) 2025.

To be taking place at Pullman Hotel Kuching’s Collosseum Hall this Dec 13 to 14, open from 10am to 8pm daily, the convention is set to bring together artists, creators, cosplayers, collectors and pop culture fans from all across Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

According to the event’s curator Musriffin Sani Musa, the convention still upholds its vision of positioning Kuching as a regional creative and pop culture hub.

“Of course, we would like to showcase Sarawak’s creative talents, and help strengthen Sarawak to remain as a top creative tourism destination.

“In fact, we have been developing platforms for Sarawak’s creative and pop culture community since KCC debuted in 2024.

“Our objectives include empowering youths and creative entrepreneurs; supporting the state’s creative industry ecosystem; and promoting cultural exchanges through pop culture,” said Musriffin, who is also KCC’s founder, in a statement released in connection with the courtesy call on State Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Datuk Sebastian Ting at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Complex here.

Musriffin led the visit by the KCC 2025 organising committee comprising Salleh Mohidin, Ratna Dewi Kaderi and Keith Voon.

The courtesy call was meant to brief Ting on the vision, direction and community impact of the convention, as well as to officially invite the deputy minister to attend its event as the guest-of-honour.

The KCC is an annual pop culture and creative convention in Sarawak, celebrating comics, animation, movies, games, cosplay, collectibles and fandom.
