KUCHING (Oct 20): Angkatan Zaman Mansang (Azam) Sarawak took part in the annual Lan Berambeh Sarawak gathering in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday for the first time, reinforcing its commitment to empowering communities through participatory communication.

It said its participation was aimed at increasing community engagement and fostering collaborative development across Sarawak and beyond.

“Azam aims to inspire Sarawakian youths to take an active role in shaping the future of their state.

“This event presents us with a unique opportunity to connect with young professionals, in line with its vision of creating a more progressive Sarawak,” it said in a press release.

Azam Sarawak said it provided over 1,000 special souvenirs for Sarawakian youth visiting its booth at the event, as a token of appreciation.

Additionally, its booth featured three exciting interactive activities designed to help visitors explore and understand Azam Sarawak’s role and functions in the state’s development.

Azam Sarawak strategic communication manager Hassnal Hakim Junaidi in the statement said their participation in Lan Berambeh is a crucial step in their efforts to empower the Sarawakian community living outside the state.

“We want to ensure that the youths, as future leaders, remain motivated and committed to contributing to Sarawak’s development after acquiring quality knowledge and experience.

“Through active engagement in this event, we believe that they will be encouraged to apply their skills and knowledge for the betterment of the state,” he said.
