KUCHING, Apr 7: The Batu Kawa Innovation Hub (BKIH) at An Cheng Ho Sports & Community Hall Batu Kawa, is now fully operational and open for public bookings, says Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS) chairman and Deputy Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Sarawak Datuk Len Talif Salleh.

According to his Facebook post, the innovation hub was conceived by Deputy Premier and Batu Kawa assemblyman Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, with the support of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, as part of a broader initiative to transform Batu Kawa into a centre of digital excellence.

“BKIH provides modern and affordable workspaces to support entrepreneurs, startups, students, and the community in the digital economy.

“Its three main facilities include a meeting room for 10 people with high-speed internet, Smart TV, and pantry; a hot desk area accommodating 30 users with access to TEGAS entrepreneurship programmes; and an event space for 30 to 80 participants, suitable for workshops and community activities,” he said.
