Body of missing crane operator found washed ashore in Tg Kidurong

BINTULU (Aug 21): The body of a crane operator, who was reported to have fallen from a ship in the waters of Tanjung Kidurong near the Petcham Methanol Similajau Bintulu jetty, was found at 4.50pm today.

Bintulu Fire and Rescue Department zone chief Wan Kamaruddin Wan Ahmad said the victim was identified as Mathew Manggah, 46.

“The victim’s body was found washed up about 350 metres from the location where he fell,” he said.

Wan Kamaruddin said the body was handed over to police for further action.
