SEREMBAN, Sept. 12: The body of Captain Zainol Afiq Bee Sham is expected to be brought back to Negeri Sembilan tomorrow for burial at Forest Heights Islamic Cemetery here after Asar prayers.
His father Bee Sham Ahmad, 59, said that according to the family's travel plans, the bodies were scheduled to be taken home by Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH2575 which departed from Miri Airport, Sarawak at 12.10 noon and arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 2.30 pm.
"The body will be taken to the New Town of Senawang Mosque which is expected at 4.30 pm while the funeral work is expected at 5.30 pm", he told Bernama today.
Bee Sham hopes the business of bringing home and her son's funeral will go smoothly.
Zainol Afiq, 30, was among the five who died in a helicopter breath carrying an Air Doctor Service (FDS) team under the Ministry of Health (MoH) that crashed and burned near the end of runway at Long Lellang Airport (STOLport), Ulu Baram on Tuesday.
Nahas also claimed the lives of four health workers, Dr. Ainul Baraah Kamaruddin, assistant medical officer Alexson Adit Henry and two nurses Jessie Paya Jok and Debra Moset.
Earlier, Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah announced the results of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) tests for all victims had been obtained and the process of handing over the body to family members will be carried out today.
