MIRI: Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel caught a two-metre long python, weighing 100 kg at Kampung Batu 1 Kuala Baram here early this morning (Sunday).
According to a report by APM, they received a call at around 5.14 am from a villager who spotted the large reptile inside his chicken coop.
Four civil defenders were dispatched to the scene and they took 10 minutes to capture the snake using special equipment.
The villager was on his way to feed his chicken when he heard noises in the coop behind his house and upon inspection, he found a python inside eating one of his chicken.
The snake has been released back to its habitat.
