Continuous rain alert in Sarawak lifted

KUCHING: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has lifted the Continuous Rain Warning (Alert) for Sarawak, citing improved weather conditions.

According to a notice issued today (Jan 21), the department said that there has been an improvement and no prolonged rainfall is anticipated in three states.

“Based on the weather model analysis, it was found that the weather has improved, and there is no expected continuation of continuous rain in the states of Pahang, Johor, and Sarawak.

“Hence, the Continuous Rain Warning (Alert) issued at 12 pm on Saturday (Jan 20) for the areas concerned is hereby terminated,” the department said.

Members of the public can obtain the latest weather information through the department’s official website, the myCuaca mobile app, and the department’s official social media pages.

They can also contact the MetMalaysia hotline at 1-300-22-1638 for further inquiries.
