KUCHING (Dec 10): Daeloniel “Kilat Boy” Mcdelon Bong capped an intense year in the ring with a spectacular victory, claiming the International Boxing Association (IBA) Intercontinental Super Bantamweight title and ending his 2025 campaign on a high note.
The Sarawak-born boxer defeated India’s national champion, Kuldeep Tarkar, in an eight-round clash at the N9 Arena in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan recently.
Daeloniel’s 2025 season was one of the busiest of his career, featuring five bouts, including two major title fights.
Despite setbacks and challenges that threatened to derail his momentum, he credited his resilience to the unwavering support of the KB Management Team, which oversees every aspect of his career.
“This year has been tough. We faced many obstacles and situations we never wanted, but we managed to settle everything and keep moving forward,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
He also emphasised that he is not signed with any association, with his career fully managed by KB Management.
Expressing gratitude to his family, coaches, teammates, sponsors, supporters, and fans, Daeloniel added: “This win is not just for me — it’s for all of you.”
With the IBA Intercontinental belt added to his growing list of accolades, Daeloniel plans a short break before returning to training to prepare for an even bigger 2026.
His achievements include former ABF Super Bantamweight champion, former WBC Asia Silver Super Bantamweight champion, current WBC Asia Continental Super Bantamweight champion, and now IBA Intercontinental Super Bantamweight champion.
With relentless determination and a management team dedicated solely to his growth, Kilat Boy continues to shine as one of Borneo’s brightest boxing prospects, poised to reach even greater heights in the year ahead.
