KUCHING, Oct 10: The Dayak Bidayuh National Association (DBNA) claimed top honours in the Associations category today as 107 contingents marched through Padang Merdeka, held in celebration of Sarawak Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar’s 80th birthday, today.

DBNA, winner of the Associations category, showcases Bidayuh cultural attire and traditional drumming.

The showcase brought together a diverse lineup of participants representing government ministries, departments, statutory bodies, government-linked companies (GLCs), higher learning institutions, and non-governmental associations.

Joining DBNA on the winner’s podium were six other standout contingents across their respective categories:

  • Enforcement: Bintulu Development Authority (BDA)
  • Ministries: Ministry of Natural Resources and Urban Development (MUDeNR)
  • Departments: Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR Sarawak)
  • Administrative Offices: Kapit Divisional Administration Office
  • Statutory Bodies, GLCs & Higher Education: Sarawak Water
  • Special Creativity Award: Amanah Khairat Yayasan Budaya Melayu Sarawak

The competition highlighted the high standard of discipline, precision, and creative expression among the participating organizations, underscoring their team cohesion and drill coordination.
