Dzulkefly is the priest of Dr. Ainul Baraah's funeral prayer

KOTA BHARU, Sept 13: Minister of Health Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad presided over the funeral service of medical officer Dr Ainul Baraah Kamarudin at Al Karomah Mukim Baung Besar Mosque, Chepa Base here at 1:37 pm today.

The funeral was attended by more than 1,000 people including Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Health (MoH) Datuk Seri Hasnol Zam Ahmad, Chief Minister of Kelantan Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud, Director of Health Dr Kasuadi Hussin and family members and friends of Allahyarham.

Allahyarham's father, Kamarudin Salleh, 69, said the family gave permission to Dzulkefly to perform his funeral prayer as a mark of respect.

"I also want to thank the Minister of Health and all Malaysians including my relatives and friends for always praying for the children's souls", he said.

Earlier, a Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) special aircraft carrying the body of Dr Ainul Baraah from Miri, Sarawak arrived at Sultan Ismail Petra Base Chepa Airport at 11.21 am.

Dr Ainul Baraah, 33, was one of five victims of the FDS helicopter crash in Long Lellang, Baram, Sarawak that crashed and burned near the end of the STOLport runway at around 3:40 pm last Tuesday.

Nahas also killed Captain Zainol Afiq Bee Sham, 30, medical assistant Alexson Adit Henry, 31, and two nurses, Jessie Paya Jok, 44, and Debra Moset, 40. - TVS
