KUCHING, 12 Sept: A total of 11 men aged between 19 and 40 years were arrested after testing positive for methamphetamine in Special Prevention Ops conducted by the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) Kuching District from 8 to 10 September.
The three-day operation was conducted at several locations around Petra Jaya, Tabuan and Penrissen based on monitoring and information obtained by AADK.
According to the Kuching District Attorney's Office, all suspects detained underwent an initial urine screening and tested positive for methamphetamine.
"The operation is part of the AADK's ongoing efforts to combat drug abuse and billing in community areas.
"AADK will continue to step up detection, enforcement and intervention activities to ensure that community areas remain safe and free from the threat of drug abuse", the statement said.
The public is also called upon to cooperate in disseminating information related to drug abuse activities to the authorities.
