SERIAN, Dec 20: A family of four, including one-year-old and three-year-old children, miraculously survived an accident when their 4WD vehicle crushed into a bus stop where a motorcyclist was seeking shelter near Kampung Ensebang on Jalan Sri Aman-Serian yesterday.
Fortunately, the 24-year-old motorcyclist escaped unharmed, according to a report by the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak today.
The accident occurred as the driver lost control of a Toyota Hilux which skidded after going through a puddle.
The pick-up truck then slammed into a motorcycle and the bus stop where the biker was seeking shelter from the rain.
The impact caused the pick-up truck to overturn on its side and resulted in significant damage to the bus stop.
Promptly responding to the emergency at 3.48pm yesterday, a team of firefighters from the Serian Station conducted a thorough assessment of the scene. — DayakDaily
