SERIAN, March 12: In a heartwarming gesture ahead of Hari Raya, 84 recipients in Serian were presented with cash assistance and cookie packages, adding joy to their festive preparations.

The presentation ceremony was held this morning at Roxy Hotel and officiated by Serian MP Dato Sri Richard Riot Jaem.

“Such assistance may seem modest to some, but it holds great meaning for those in need,” he said in a statement, expressing hope that the contributions would help recipients with their Hari Raya preparations.

Recipients hailed from 14 villages, including 15 individuals from the Serian District Mosque and local suraus within the constituency.

Riot also conveyed his Hari Raya greetings and extended heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in the ceremony.

He added that the initiative reflects the community’s spirit of generosity, bringing happiness to those in need during the festive season. — DayakDaily
