MIRI (Aug 20): A worker at the cafeteria of Miri Hospital was injured in a fire last Sunday.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the 22 year-old man sustained burns to the leg, and was rushed for treatment at the Emergency and Accident Ward.
“The Lopeng station received an emergency call at 8.57pm.
“It was reported that a gas cylinder suddenly caught fire while the worker was in the cafeteria.
“Immediately, his co-workers rushed to put out the flames using a fire extinguisher.
“The fire was put out when the firefighters arrived,” said Bomba in a statement.
